| 1. Human sperm is tadpole-shaped cell. |
| 2. It is a gamete which is haploid, i.e. it has only 23 chromosomes. |
| 3.The head contains a haploid nucleus. |
| 4. The neck region contains a lot of mitochondria to provide energy for beating of tail. |
| 5. The tail is a flagellum. It can beat to help the sperm to swim. |
| 6. The speed of sperm can be 120 metres per hour. That is to say, it can swim about 5mm in one minute. |
| 7. The tip part of the head is a region called acrosome where hydrolytic enzyme can be found. That structure can change shape and help the sperm to enter the egg. |
